Unleash your inner superhero at our 4 day retreat designed for professional women looking to shake things up!

The WonderWoman Workshops are considered, purposeful and directional residential retreats. They are designed to help you gain a clear perspective on both your personal and professional life. Over the course of 4 days, we encourage you to relax, focus on your body, listen to your heart and open your mind to new possibilities. We will help you to truly understand and appreciate the quality of the resources available to you and to identify the best ways to maximise their potential.

Day 1: Pause

Drive through the lovely Staffordshire countryside knowing that you really have left some of your troubles behind you. Arrive at the stunning Hoar Cross Hall which will be your home for the next 4 days. Your retreat home looks forward to offering you peace, tranquillity and a space to grow from within. On arrival at the impressive deer headed front porch, a concierge will relieve you of your bags (to be seen later in your ‘cocoon’) and an elegant host steps forward to lead you to the warm, cosy library already roaring with a fire waiting to thaw out the last of the winter chill.

Here you will be met and warmly greeted by your dedicated retreat hosts Ngozi & Obehi who will welcome you to the retreat. You will also meet your fellow WonderWomen, who are here to go through this soul-searching and fulfilling journey with you. Ngozi and Obehi will take you through what to expect over the next few days and will happily answer any questions that you have.

A guide arrives to take you on a tour of Hoar Cross, so you can get intimately acquainted with your home for the next 4 days. The pools, hot tubs, the Swedish sauna, the giant swinging sleep pods, and the hidden gems that make Hoar Cross the ideal venue for a luxury retreat. Finally, you retire to your cocoon to get refreshed. You’ll find your private ‘Think Pad’ waiting for you (more on this later).

Next, indulge in some Aurora ‘Self-Alignment’ time, with activities that we have personally selected to help you ‘Pause’ as nature intended. Select one or two that feel right to you:

  • Spa your way using the hot tubs, sauna, and steam room to ease tired muscles and allow your stress to gently slip away.
  • Grab your Big Coat and walk the well manicured grounds of Hoar Cross. Breathe in the crisp country air and clear your head. Let go of any negative thoughts, we’ll challenge them later. Simply breathe in and consider how lucky you are right now.
  • Find a cosy sofa in one of the many elegant rooms, tuck your legs in and flick through the various magazines or books available.
  • Or simply start writing your thoughts and feelings inside your ‘Think Pad’.
  • Join a yoga class, close your eyes, breathe deeply and find your centre. Don’t worry if you don’t find it on the first day, there’ll be other days.
  • Shower and nap, it’s been a long day already. Sleep is gold and you’ll be refreshed by dinner time.
  • Next, indulge in some Aurora ‘Self-Alignment’ time, with activities that we have personally selected to help you ‘Pause’ as nature intended. Select one or two that feel right to you:

    Later that evening, you will be reunited with your retreat hosts and fellow WonderWomen over pre-dinner drinks. Indulge in a 3 course gourmet dinner lovingly created to delight and satisfy your taste buds. After dinner, why not linger in the lounge? Share a few insights from your ‘Self-Alignment’ time with your fellow WonderWomen. Did you discover similar things or might you try what they tried? Finally, follow the natural siren call to your cosy bed to get a good night’s sleep, knowing that your transformation has already begun.

    Day 2: Think (Past and Present)

    Imagine waking up refreshed after a sound sleep. You can indulge in an early morning swim in the warm saltwater vitality pool, or the sauna. Or if you need to boost your happy-hormones (serotonin), then step outside for a brisk walk or run in the serenity of Hoar Cross grounds. None of these? Well, then lie back in bed and snuggle into your pillow until your tummy starts to need some nourishment. You are on a wellbeing retreat after all! When you’re ready, simply join your fellow WonderWomen for a delicious hearty breakfast ranging from fresh fruits and Danish pastries, to the more traditional English breakfast. After breakfast, you will be led by your hosts Ngozi & Obehi to an elegant meeting room to begin the WonderWoman Workshop. It’s time to ‘Think’.

    During the morning session, you will explore and reflect on your past and present. You will learn how your life experiences – both good and bad have actually enriched your life with learnings that can enable you to grow. Here, you will learn how to ‘kintsukuroi’ your emotional scars. Kintsukuroi (pronounced kint-soo-ko-roy) is the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. You will appreciate how the ‘cracks’ in your life have actually made you more beautiful and more whole than you think. You will also examine your unique core strengths and values and learn what motivates and depletes you. This will ensure that you get crystal clarity about what you really want out of your life and exactly how to emotionally prepare to access your opportunities and your abundance.

    Remember your ‘Think Pad’ where you’ve been writing down your negative thoughts? After lunch is your opportunity to dispose of them for good, by participating in our ‘Shoot the Sh*t’ ceremony. This will be an outdoor private group archery session where you’ll learn how to handle a bow and arrow as you literally shoot away at your own negative thoughts, letting go of those old paradigms and mindsets in the process. Watch and cheer on your fellow WonderWomen as they also let go of their baggage. This is sisterhood in its purest form.

    After the ceremony you will have more Aurora ‘Self-Alignment’ time. Simply pick one or two activities that resonate with you.

    • Spa your way (thermal suites, pools, relaxation pods…)
    • Take a bike and explore the grounds of Hoar cross.
    • Hit the gym or join an exercise class.
    • Continue reading or write in your ‘Think Pad’.

    As with the previous night, join us at dinner for a delicious meal and re-connect with your hosts and fellow WonderWomen. We will certainly have a lot to talk about by this point!

    Day 3: Think (Future)

    Day 3 and you’re ready to ‘Think Future’, to dream up all the possibilities life has to offer you. Learn how to dig deep about what you really, really want. Today you will visualise and build the future that you dream of, in a fun and creative way. A future that invites you to be the best that you can be. One that allows to you to shine so that others may shine through you. We will teach you how to explore all aspects of your life, uncovering your most hidden desires. You’ve been waiting too long. You deserve to shine!

    On this day, you will also learn the core steps to ‘5 ways to wellbeing’ and how you can continue to nurture and take care of your desires, your mind, and your body. You will learn that you are whole and perfect but only when you can pour from a ‘full cup’. Learn how to fill your emotional cup so that you can give to others and bless them with the special gift that is you. Break for a nourishing lunch at the usual time, and indulge in that extra desert if you want!

    And just like that, it’s time again for your daily Aurora ‘Self-Alignment’!

    • Practise your golf swing on the driving range or find a WonderWoman to play some tennis with!
    • Hit the gym or join an exercise class.

    Join us again for our final dinner together, knowing that as the retreat draws to a close, you feel alive and energised and ready to face your world head on, come what may.

    Day 4: Act

    It’s the final day of the retreat and it’s time to develop your Action Plan. Get all your ideas laid out in a strategic way so that you can Make. It. Happen. Your future starts right here. Today, you will learn how to set goals that are led by your true values. You will learn how to prioritise them and how to stay motivated to achieve them. Learn how to challenge the negative mindsets and self-limiting beliefs that can derail you. You will construct powerful affirmations and mantras that will arm you against self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviours. Finalise your personalised action plan with reminders and powerful ‘thought keys’ to help keep you on track. Then share tips and learnings with your fellow WonderWomen. No one achieves great things by themselves and by the end of this retreat, you will have gained new allies.

    You will fully realise the privilege that it has been to have invested time and resources on yourself. It’s time to go and rock your world, WonderWoman. Your family, friends and colleagues won’t know what’s hit them! You are successfully transformed. You are ‘kintsukuroi’.

    Can I afford to go to the WonderWoman Workshop?

    The question is can you afford not to? Your mental and emotional wellbeing are fundamental to your overall physical health. In 2017 the World Health Organisation cited depression as the leading cause of ill health and disability worldwide. Women are more likely than men to have common mental health problems and are almost twice as likely to be diagnosed with anxiety disorders. It is important that you make room to prioritise yourself and your health once in a while.     Can I bring a friend ?

    Yes, of course! Some people feel more comfortable being vulnerable with people that they barely know, whereas others require the support of a close friend or family member. We don’t mind either way. What matters is that you get the most out of your retreat. Your friend will need to apply independently, so forward her this link- she’ll thank you for it!

    What is included in the cost ?

    The WonderWoman Workshop is an intensive four day residential programme on the grounds of the stunning Hoar Cross Hall hotel and spa. Clients will be housed in excellent accommodation, with full access to the leisure facilities. Gourmet breakfast, lunch and dinner are included throughout your stay. We will support you in advance of, during and after the workshop to ensure that you succeed in setting the right goals and are well equipped to reach them.

    Do I require any medical clearance before I attend your workshops?

    So long as you are generally fit and well, there is no need for you to seek medical clearance before attending any of our Aurora workshops.  The WonderWoman pre-workshop assessment is designed to ascertain that the workshop is fully suitable for you.
